Outline of the Law Department
The Law Department was founded in May, 2004 with the aim of fostering multifunctional personnel in the law field who fit in with the socialist market economy and democracy-legal system building. The Department has two offices in law theory and economic law respectively, one simulation court laboratory, one reference room and five research teams specializing in jurisprudence, public commercial law, economic law, marriage and family law, environment and resource-protection law respectively. Besides, the department has signed contracts with 15 units in the public security organ, procuratorial organ, law court, judicial organ, law firm and company etc. to set up teaching probation bases. There are currently 22 teachers in the department with 1 professor and 4 associate professors.
The department attaches great importance to the building of academic atmosphere and quality education. Graduates with good performance in their academic studies are to become lawyers, court judges, prosecutors and law consultant in the companies, etc. They can also choose to work in financial institutions, legal institutions, government organs, colleges and universities that are law-related.
The teachers are engaged in both specialized courses teaching and public courses teaching in Law Fundamentals and Morality Building .
